This is a level in which both the players and coaches share the pitching duties. This is an important level as it is the players' first look at "kid-pitching". The coaches will pitch at the start of the season, but by the middle of the season, the players will begin to pitch more. The rules of baseball are more closely followed. Balls and strikes are counted and scores are kept.

AAA - Mostly 9-12 year-olds, with the occasional 8 with advanced skills. At this level, players attend a required tryout in February. Fundamental fielding, catching, throwing, and hitting are the key skills being evaluated. Players are placed onto teams using a player draft, with the primary goal being more balanced teams. Teams usually practice 2 times per week and play 2-3 games per week when games start. About 20 games for the season with an end of year tournament.
Majors - This program is for players aged 11-12 and some skilled 10 year olds. Skills and attributes are evaluated by HBLL coaches and Board Members at a league-wide player evaluation session, and players are then drafted accordingly. Teams practice 2-3 times per week and play 2-3 games per week once games start. About 24 games for the season. This is the most competitive level of traditional Little League.
